In Praise of Answerbank.

I have absolutely no idea which heading to put this under,but as it is dependant on people to make it work,I guess this topic will be siutable.

Just wanted to say what a brilliant "Forum" .Answerbank is;there are so many interesting,clever,kind and helpful people out there who give the most amazing answers,many of them backed up by helpful links,it means that no one needs to be alone to fight whatever battles life throws at them,there is something for everyone.

I think it is a very well run section of UK Net Guide and bless the day that I came across it -quite by accident--.Long may it reign!

I agree copippin. It really is a helpful site and I have received some excellent support and advice from other ABers. You may come into contact with some people who's comments or opinions make you very angry, then find yourself smiling a couple of days later as you realise how much you appreciate their presence and the diversity their opinions bring into your life.

agree this is a great site so varied and I came across it by chance just popped up when I was using Jeeves and its been so good for quizzes and crossword puzzle help, also have found some interesting facts on all the other themes well done to those who have set up this site and thanks for all the friendly folk who answer and help each other as copippin says Long May it reign ....

There is one particular poster who is modest, but interesting, insightful, honest, generous, helpful kind and considerate. I think he alone represents everyone all and rather aptly his name begins with O and ends with, us.

Totally agree. Apart from being a great resource, it gives people a positive way in which they can help others. It is also the best way of getting those questions that nag you answered. Such as what was the tune in a certain advert? Or what was the name of a character in a film? Or what happened at the end of a programme that you missed. Thanks to everyone who makes it what it is!

It is a good site, but wrongly formatted imho. It would be much better as a 'traditional' style message board with most recent posts bringing topics to the top, facilities to view profiles easily etc.

Nobody told me about answerbank, I just stumbled upon it when doing a Google search for question and answer sites. At the time, I just wanted to know the name of a mini film I had seen that was based on a true murder story. Ouisch gave me the answer - and more facts on the case. - thanks Ouisch,
