Bobbi what I mean is, i've personally seen HereIam (maybe not annoyed) very emotive about a topic or subject. If you haven't then you've not seen enough of their character to make a judgement about their rationality, especially when they talk about knife crime and terrorism on a thread about a famous TV presenter coming out as gay. Rational? ha!

I like everyone on AB and even if i say insults I wish no one ill will and I treat every day and interaction as a new one.

I fail to see why anyone's sexuality is relevant to the general public - unless the person involved is revealed to have been making hypocritical statements (Schofield hasn't) or has a job where their sexuality is relevant (Schofield doesn't).

"Pope is Gay" = would be news (for both reasons above)

"Schofield is Gay" = not news (for both reasons above).

Why are people 'shocked' for his wife? For all we know she has known from the start he was Gay and has decided its something she can cope with. FWIW I'd rather my OH have a long term relationship with a man than a woman.

Someone from Stonewall was on television this morning and said he’s looking forward to the day when gay people don’t have to ‘come out’, when everyone can just live their lives. Schofield didn’t have to ‘come out’. He was living his life. The people who are important to him know who he is. The rest of us don’t matter. Perhaps when gay people stop making such a fuss about it they’ll realise that most of us couldn’t give a hoot about who they are or what they do.
