Getting Married

Is getting married worth it ?
I'm not thinking of getting married but at the same time I'm afraid to stay alone, will I regret not getting married when I became older ?

there are no guarantees in being married, you can be just as lonely in it as being single. But most people do it at some point in their lives, and some stay married for years.

Mr smow and I had never ever discussed getting married. One weekend away in a hotel, after a few drinks, we were walking round the foyer and there was this booth with beautiful watches etc. Later that eve we sat in the bar and happened to be sharing a table with another couple. I was in a silly mood and I turned to him and said you know that watch you liked earlier? Erm yes he said. Well can I buy it for you as a sort of ‘commitment’ present? Don’t panic I said, I’m not asking you to get married or anything lol. Why not he said. Sorry?? Why don’t we get married he said? Are you proposing?? Yes! The couple who were sat next to us, well their faces!! They started screaming, ordered champagne etc !! Well after a long night we woke up the next morning, I actually woke up first and thought did he actually mean any of that. Turned round to see him looking at me and the first thing he said was , yes, I did propose. We got on the train home, went to the first jewellers and bought a ring! Grabbed two bottles of champagne, stopped at his parents house and broke the news! Chokes me up even now just thinking about it lol x

It's only ever worth getting married if you marry the right person.

trouble is you think it's the right person at that time, then people can and do change, causing no end of misery for both parties.
