has anyone watched this tv drama. Its currently on BBC i player, set in 1850's, its about a whaling ship and her crew, starring an almost unrecognisable Colin Farrell as Henry Drax, a brute of a man, who is one of the ships harpooners. I wasn't going to watch going on the subject matter, but it's more than just about whaling in the 19th Century. I watched all five episodes over 2 days and it was worth it for the acting is quite superb. Though some scenes are hard to watch, the supposed killing of seals and whales, but stay with it for the sheer scale of the drama and the outcome.
morning Eleanor, definitely one to watch, its about the greed and sheer inhumanity of whaling and the decidedly dodgy goings on with regards the ship and its crew.
its amazing - set mostly at sea, in the frozen north, and in Hull which was a major shipping port. Its not an easy watch, no laughs, but sheer brutality of the men who went out and often didn't come back.
