Anyone know if it does actually snow in Bethlehem where Jesus was supposed to have been born???

but....as now is the time for fairytales and Xmas stories....was it not St Helena, mother of Constantine, who was guided by a dream (no internet in those days) to dig where snow had fallen, and dig up the True Cross ?

indeed, and I believe that according to one theory Helena was the daughter of Old King Cole. The theory has been taken seriously in its time, but is doubtless just another nice myth.
Bibleplaces.com shows photos of modern Jerusalem blanketed with snow; in 1911 it snowed there 11 days straight; in 1920 three feet of snow fell; it snows some at least to a minor extent there about once every 7 years but with global warming this may be changing. Also, there are a few ancient written references to Christ.
