….with the added caveat of ‘as far as I’m aware’.
So in reality he’s lying and everyone knows it, because all guidance was followed in Number 10 as far as he was aware too, wasn’t it?

Surprised he claims it was a social event too because he’s struggled in the past when nobody told him?
What a stain he is on this country and dreadful indictment on his persona, but it’s what we’ve come to expect.
I can't understand the fuss when the man's led a simple, honest and straightforward life apart from this one hiccup. Said no-one of the serial liar, boozer and pork swordsman.
Britain’s foreign secretary [Johnson]attended a NATo meeting in Brussels about the Russian Novachik poisonings. He left it, apparently still holding documents. He somehow managed to lose the 24/7 security detail that all foreign secretaries have. He flew to Italy alone. And there he met the a former lieutenant-colonel in the KGB, Alexander Lebedev, a spy who was stationed inside the Russian embassy in London in the late 1980s and served alongside fellow officers who included Vladimir Putin. It was a meeting, Johnson acknowledged to MPs last week, that took place in breach of all protocols, without any foreign office officials present.
The thing is Peter Pedant, the usual Johnson fanboys and girls are strangely quiet whenever this subject is brought up.
None can even fashion an excuse for him, let alone explain such clandestine behaviour that goes against all governmental, diplomatic and procedural rules.
Maybe they can’t bear the fact that in reality his behaviour would lead one to surmise that he is in fact the biggest 5C socialist and Marxist since the Cambridge 5 scandal?
Why would a Foreign Secretary purposely give his security detail the slip directly from a NATO summit and meet in private an ex KGB agent?
Was he selling this country down the river in a traitorous exchange?
Given his character, demeanour and contacts it’s well within the realms of possibility.

“ Was he selling this country down the river in a traitorous exchange? ”
/And in what way do you envisage that might have been?/
No idea, that’s why I’m asking. As the meeting was alone, directly from a NATO meeting that discussed how to deal with Russia, just weeks after the Salisbury Poisoning it certainly looks iffy.
After all, they’ve been taking Russian funds, free holidays and offering tennis matches for charitable donations.
What about yourself Ichkeria, as you asked me, do you have any idea what he might have been up to, losing his security detail?
What do you think he was up to, given all those circumstances?
I don’t think he was “selling his country down the river”
Much as I don’t care for him.
These rumours are easy and cheap at 10 a penny.
No doubt just being his usual chaotic self
But you are the one making the accusation not me. So I’d expect you to have some idea of what you mean.
Otherwise it sounds like you are merely tossing around wild allegations

19:30 Tue, //Reports of him at the airport aren’t flattering. //
What reports?
//according to a fellow passenger.//
/Just one fellow passenger? Well that's got to be right then./
Lol, she just has to defend her beau.
I’m afraid you’ll find that love and deep devotion is unrequited, Naomi.
Care to tell us what the arch 5Cer was up to whilst he was out there?
Make a comment or explanation on the OP?

//He was at a social event, fatticusinch. Now you tell me why you consistently post vitriolic and inaccurate information.//
Lol, straight from a NATO summit, without his security detail and an unexplained and as yet unidentified guest?
Was he up to his usual adulterous antics?
Or something a tad more sinister, given the company and location he was in?
