I'm not giving up anything this year, but I am determined to do a parachute jump. I'm fed up with my 'giving up' failures of the past and intend to adopt a more positive 'must do' approach this year.

What will you do that is different this year?

I think that should read,
'What will you do that is different in 2006?'

i did a parachute jump this year and it was one of the best things i have ever done in my life!!!!! go for it, you will love it!!!!

my next target for this year is to seriously save as i am travelling round oz starting january 07 so need to have all the money and more by september time!!!

I'm not giving anything up either Drusilla but I would like to simply be more positive....not so much worrying & less negative thoughts. Difficult when you were born worried!!!
I also want to really clear the clutter & surplus requirements from my house & not just rearrange things or stuff them back in cupboards!
Finally I think I may get around to trying the accupuncture I've been promising myself for ages, for my often painful condition. Erm, I think that will do for the first week!

Good luck with your parachute jump & a very Happy 2006!!

my daughter did a parachute jump recently and said it was a fantastic experience. If you can afford it try to get a DVD made of it- it's well worth the money. I'd like to think this year I'll be less fearful as I live in fear of a lot of things and to stop worrying so much. Happy New Year Drusilla.

Hi littlemissx. I travelled around Australia some years ago with my ex. (pre-children) I loved the people, but couldn't appreciate the Outback. It's the one place in the world I have visited that made me long for Hackney. It made me realise my city genes were deeply embedded. It's also difficult appreciating that a country the size of the USA has a population of only two and a half London's.
Robinia and mydogsandme, are we related?? :-) I have lived in fear of everything and nothing for most of my life. I seem to put on a good front in my business, but I'm still a frightened child inside most of the time and it's so debilitating and pointless, I could scream on occasion.
Best wishes to you all for 2006

I am determined to do all the following - we'll see ....

phone my mum more often, maintain a good regime for my skin, visit the cinema once a week, get my freelance career into top gear, walk to get fit.

I am hoping to do the usual thing...Give up smoking !
But I never succeed. I have no willpower and am easily led !
This year I am going to try and say NO more often to people who put on me. I am also going to try and declutter my house and garden.Lose some weight and take more exercise now that I know what it wrong with me.The road to hell is paved with good intentions so the saying goes.
I am always full of good intentions ...talk to me again this time next year Drusilla !!

My first resolution this year, which I actually began before Christmas, is to label all my video tapes before I put them in the recorder to tape a programme. I have just culled my label-less video collection and instantly made myself 18 new blank tapes! How long it will last is another matter.....

perhaps we are Drusilla- I always wanted a sister!
lol mydogsandme - I already have a sister (not such a worrier as me) but there's always room for another. We can worry for each other!!!
I gave up smoking 2 years ago, this year I think it will have to be the booze...over indulged again...ate more than I should of all the bad things,(I am diabetic) got to get back to eating healthily.stay in touch with my family more...
