Just on the Beeb News.....the projection of King Charles III & Queen Camilla on to the leaves of the Sydney Opera House Roof delayed by an hour....the cause - her aircraft-carrier was in the way! Delicious..... is this her protest from above to losing monarchial influence over the stroppy country?

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.for any possibility of "Republic" in the UK seeing an elected head of state in their lifetime, all 14 commonwealth realms need to themselves have become republics, as the legal processes required to align the remaining sovereign nations would be too difficult (UK couldn't bin the king without their agreement, or collusion). it was thought this would happen naturally as the collective memory of George VI faded, but that hasn't happened...... yet.
MUSHROOM, the UK monarch is also the monarch of various other countries but the monarch in each of those countries reigns as the monarch of that country, separate from the UK monarch.
That means, in theory but not likely, the UK could become a republic and the other countries could retain the former UK monarch as their monarch.
