Travel to Poland?

I'm due to travel to Krakow, Poland next week for 3 days. Is it wise to do so in light of the current freezing temperatures? Last night the temperature dropped to -22C and today's temperature is -8. If I do go - what precautions should I take?

keep an eye on the weather reports (available via the www.bbc.co.uk homepage); this is a real cold snap, even for eastern Europe, but it can't last for ever. Wrap up warm, get shoes that aren't going to slip over on ice or get sodden in snow, and stay indoors as much as you can. I've experienced temperatures about that low; it's very cold, but you won't freeze on the spot or anything. Krakow is a big, fully functional town (and a very interesting one), not a remote village.

But if I had a choice, I'd stay home till it warmed up.
