im moving to exeter in a couple of months, has anyone got any suggestions for good places to go? im most interested in live music venues, decent bars and anywhere else worth mentioning. Cheers.

I confess that I don't live in Exeter but there will be web site for the City Also by using 'ASK' or similar you should be able to find out what the main local paper is which should give you a good idea of 'Whats On'. For example in the Plymouth area it is the Herald or for a wider area The Western Morning News both of which are produced by West Country Publications.

At the moment the inner shopping area is undergoing a revamp with a new shopping mall under construction which will be finished next year. Busy bustling place is Exeter so I don't think you will be short of entertainment. If I remember correctly a place called 'West Point' has all sorts of shows with people like Robbie Williams etc..

A few suggestions on the above website - aimed at students obviously, but maybe one or two useful things on it. I live quite close to Exeter, but don't go in alot in the evenings. The Old Fire House is a really nice place, lovely food.
