Ok so here is the situation. You have a choice of scoring a decisive goal for you national soccer team or scoring with the person you absolutely crave (though never in a gazillion years will your ever meet) which would you choose? give reasons if you like!

Hmmm...As I despise football, I would opt for Option B (Louise Lombard)...however, as I am happily married I would really opt for Option A as I would bring happiness to the masses (the side would be England or China, in case you were wondering)
It would definitely have to be the winning goal, especially if it was in the World Cup Final, although I have to say I'd still choose this option even if it was an ordinary international!

And following on from rekstout's example, my chosen opponents would be... Germany or Argentina. Now guess which country I'd be playing for!!!

The reason? To be a national hero, and also the buzz would be shared by everyone else. I'd never have to buy a round of drinks again... But also, every footballer I've seen asked the question, "Scoring or sex?" Always choose scoring.

As an avid indifference to football continues into my march towards adulthood, I'd have to go for the 'Person' option. I've now formed an orderly queue in my mind of ladies who would qualifiy, Kylie is trying to see over Liz Hurley's shoulder, and Claudia Winkleman and Suzi Perry are comparing hair lengths, and I've got to go and have a rub down with a damp copy of 'BT Today' and couple of custard creams .....
As yer man in Trainspotting says watching Archie Gemmell score against Holland in '78 is better than sex....I'd go for actually being the scorer of a goal like this (no tap in's...it has to be a brammer of a goal though!) and anyways scoring on the pitch will always get you a spot of horizontal jogging off it as Gordie Best proved!
I've played footy for many years (though never for a national side i admit) and though scoring a goal is pretty much the greatest high since hash sandwiches, i'm afraid it doesn't compare with the fantasy of stretching Gabby Roslin over a desk and giving her a right good seeing to. Still waiting Gabby!
Gabby "Don't you know who i am?" Roslin? Are you sure? I think your helmet must be steamed up Darth, try not to breathe so heavy! ;)

.

I'd go for the goal. Against Argentina, with the score already at 3 - 3, in the World Cup Final. I could die happy five minutes after the final whistle for all i care after that. Why Argentina? Well, we've already beaten the Germans to win the World Cup haven't we, or shouldn't i mention '66?
