You see a lot of famous couples where the man is nowhere near as beautiful as the woman - are there any couples where this is the other way round and the man is better looking than his partner??

Ha Ha chazza that was the first couple I thought of! Mind you in real life you rarely see a couple who are both stunning..one always appears to be better looking than the other!

Actually I was going to mention Macca & his first wife Linda, but felt bad about it because even though she was rather 'plain' looking she wasn't really what I would call ugly ~ and she was a fine lady..unlike his 2nd wife!

Mr Hellion and I always call short ugly fellas and tall glam wives 'the mops and buckets' (think Fantasia or is it Sleeping Beauty when the mops dance with the buckets!)

Some would say Richard and Judy, Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward, maybe? I can't agree about Lynda MaCartney, although that was a general consensus, I think what you saw was what you got and that made her a rather beautiful woman in a 'beauty from within' kind of way.

I agree regarding Linda McCartney ~ it was the general consensus..my mum tells me it was all very 'what the hell does he see in her'' thing!

Over the years I think most saw exactly what Macca did :o)
