national insurance card

hi, i have just unearthed my national insurance card, which i havent seen for about 10 years! i got married 5 years ago, but the card is still in my maiden name - on it it says to rell my local social security office if i change my name - well clearly i haven't done this. Do i need to? Whats todays equivalent of an ss ofice? will it have affected any thing pension wise? (i have been working full time all my working life (= 10 years) and my n.i. number has always been correct on my payslip
