Does anyone else think Tony should do the decent thing and get out why he can still partially hold his head up?

As far as I can see there are only three ways to go: biffed out by disgruntled party colleagues (Thatcher, Chamberlain), resign after losing an election (Kinnock, Hague), or go instantly of your own volition (Wilson). Saying 'I'll go in 12 months' just makes you a lame duck and gets your possible successors at each other's throats.
Doesn't matter who you are or what you've done, as Prime Minister you will always carry the can. Can't see too many fresh faces rushing to provide an alternative which is why i personally think Labour have stayed in as long as they have - no opposition in the conservatives who have lacked a decent leader for a considerable time now. I can't stand Tony Blair and have never voted for him but i for feel for him now. Poor guy can't win and will always be at fault by some of us no matter what decisions he takes. Its a sad fact humans tend to focus on all the negative things people have done instead of remembering the good. As has been said before "you can please some of the people all of the time, all of the people some of time but you can't please all of the people all of the time". It doesn't matter who was PM they'd still get treated like this. Till there is someone who can do a better job leave the bloke in place
the reporter on the tv who was in his consituatncy of trimdon, said they were upset with ian right our m.p. for hartlepool for resigning as we are so close to each other, ian wright should have showed unity and stuck by blair well they would say that would,nt they just cos maybe once every couple of years he goes in the labour soical club and has a drink with a couple of the locals hes there best mate a bit nieve to think this way i.d say , but this is just my oppinion and really , and its not gonna make 1 bit a diffrence to anything, then thats 99% of politicans, talk in this country.
Tony Blair should go - and speaking as a Scot - he cannot be replaced by Gordon Brown! Let's face it we have a daft Scottish Parliament where Scots can have their say (no matter how daft) so Gordon can get himself back up here and be the mouthpiece for Scottish people. Oh! but wait he has suddenly started talking about "Britishness" wonder why!!!
