Unusual Names

Hiya
I have also put this in parenting as wasn't sure where it should go. I am 5 momths pregnant and trying to come up with babies names. So far have a few for boys but no girls name. The problem is, my name is so unusual that I have never met or heard of anyone with my name. I like being unique and want my child to have a fairly unusual name that isn't too common also but am struggling. Does anyone have any suggestions?? Also, it is hard as I don't want anything too out there or something that is fashionable just for now. Do you know what I mean??
Thanks in advance for you help :o)

People never know how to pronounce it, does my head in ! Congrats on your bump x

My wife and I are in a very similar position. I think you have to forget what anyone else thinks and just go with something that appeals to you and your partner. Whatever you choose it will grow on people eventually, but you need to be mindful of quirky names so that they dont get picked on at school for it. We are currently considering Niamh (neeve) for a girl and Shea (shay) for a boy. But that will change next week.
