Childishness is not a bannable offence on this site. Insulting? Well, surely that's a matter of opinion? You are not obliged to answer questions you don't like. However, it may fairly be added that the answers to that particular question have been generally serious. Perhaps that's the best way to show an unwitting poster what this site appears to be about.
There is nothing unwitting about Surfers questions. They are a quite deliberate p**s take. The fact that he/she receives serious answers will only encourage him/her. As it happens I think its funny, but there you go, we all have different senses of humour.
Personally, I think that it has just crossed the threshold of being funny, although readily accept that it may still be funny to others.
One thing is for sure; it is not funny to the people who are afflicted with such a condition to any degree, and it may indeed be insulting to them.
I have to agree....while it's not an offence to be childish it is a waste of space to allow an obviously false question to push questions from the top 20 list that might still be waiting to be answered......many more serious questions have been pulled for much, much less.

I have to say that I am disappointed but not suprised.

also disappointed!
I've revisited the question and answers. I don't see many serious answers. The question itself appears to me to be written in a manner that is designed to be shocking. If the questioner was serious I'm sure that the question would have been phrased differently.
I have no problem with discussing bodily functions or helping people find sensible answers to their problems ...... after all, we all have them. However, looking at the tone and content of that particular question I think that the Ed should have taken one of three options. 1. Pull the question. 2. Reword it. 3. Check with the questioner that it was a genuine & serious question.
I know that we all have the option not to respond to any particular question, but there will always be someone that wants to add a comment. That will encourage the questioner to apply his or her little mind to doing likewise in the future.
You will never stop idiot postings but they can be controlled by editorial means. Those of us that think the original question was undesirable can, through this medium, make our feelings known. We have to rely on the discretion of the Ab Ed who's actions will never please all the people all of the time. A difficult and thankless task !!
can't find his Q, has it been wiped?
