Born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA and lived there until age 17. Attended university in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA and lived there a total of 5 years. Attended graduate school in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, lived there for nearly 3 years. Currently living a few steps outside of Washington, D.C., in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA.
