I need help!
2 Answers
I fell out with my best friend a year & a half ago and I miss him loads, but the last I heard from him was that he no longer wanted me to contact him.
So I left it at that a little breathing space but I feel it has been too long and don't know what to say - a little help here people?

I've made several attempts to mend the situation, but, so far, I have not heard a single word back from him. It really hit me hard to lose my best friend, but after this much time, I have come to the conclusion that, if he's not willing to talk to me after all this time, then he wasn't that great a friend after all, because real friends should be able to talk things through. I hope that this isn't the case, but I can't hold my breath and wait any longer. Want a new best friend? ;o)
not a nice feeling is it, unfortunately not all relationships are meant to last forever, people change and people move on, he may have reasons to avoid contacting you that he does not wish to reveal (jealous girlfriend etc) it's never easy being left behind, my advice is to stop torturing yourself and let go (i've done it and everything was all ok), but if you really dont want to do that then i suggest you propose a fresh start with a promise not to analyse the past. forgiving without understanding is a bit strange i know but re-establishing a friendship can be an emotional experience and you need to nurture it rather than challenge it too soon. good luck :-)
