Why do women make such a big fuss when men leave the toilet seat up? It's soooo difficult to put it back down themselves! :p

Haven't you ever made a woman groan? Have you ever heard her moan?
cos when it's 3ish in the mornin' u leg it in the bathroom peein ypurself and in the dark sit on a cold sticky wet bowl where you have dribbled love. Thats my main reason anyway
I've often thought of this but never said anything to my other half its not worth the hassle, she even had a go at me for leaving the toilet lid down as well as the seat. So I get my own back and moan about her leaving it down.
i remember when my other half left the lid down again in the dark evening i peed all over the floor opened my flaps to early and couldnt hold it aghhhh. funny in hindsight tho. Mbe I should get into the habit of turning the loght on ehh
Opened your flaps? I didn't know you were a 'plane, Trinity ;o)

Deary me TRINITY! Dont hold back on the detail ay?!
sadistic, i say; poor bloke dashes in to the loo and some clog left the seat up, you just know it's up on a teetery balance waiting to come guillotining down at the wrong moment. Duct tape it down i say, no remove it; each person can bring their own, then they know its clean, wear it round your neck as a fashion accessory or get an inflatable one in neon glow so you can't miss it. :-)

Trinity, have you ever heard of a light switch? ;) Thanks for the details. Really appreciate it, like a kick in the...
Unfortunately yes I have heard of a light switch but when one is half asleep its not really top of the priorities list. gettin to the bowl is! And if my detail is to much I apologise. I thought u wanted to know why we women get peed of at the seat and in no uncertain terms I told you and made it quite clear so hopefully the penny will drop this time.
What really winds me up is all female households who have a lid that won't stay up at all and I have to wee with one hand holding it up. When I've mentioned it they can't see what the problem is. (NB as they sit down the seat is held up naturally by their backs, in case I didn't explain fully).

Trinity, I think switching the light on should be near the top of priorities, then you wouldn't pee yourself. As for the details, there are nicer ways of describing what happens to you. And why should men have to put the toilet seat down. Women never put it up, so when a man goes to the toilet in a hurry he has to put the seat up himself. Sometimes it's only a split second between success and failure.
Normally because men have a really issue with aim especially when they pee half asleep, and you normally find there pee around the seat along with pubes.
For reasons of hygiene and women like to be comfortable love!

I really don't understand the arguments given. What difference does it make if guys pee all over the toilet! It's still going to be there whether the toilet seat's up or down. And what does hygiene have to do with it? If the man puts down the toilet seat it's more hygienic, is it! If you want to be more comfortable, put the toilet seat down yourself. I know it's a lot to ask but I'm sure you can manage that monumental task on your own! Everyone seems to be missing the point. I don't want to know why you want the toilet seat down, that's obvious. I want to know why women can't just put the toilet seat down themselves. Is that too much to ask?
The fact of the matter is women pee straight down into the water and away it flushes men pee all round the edges actually get drips on the top of the toilet and most of the time its women that clean the toilet. So unless your going to sit on and wee then why not just shut the lid down yourself as for the other stuff why should we.Its you men that pee standing up so untill women pee standing up we reserve the right to have to put the toilet seat down
i read that in feng shui leaving the toilet seat up will lose you money
oh and if you flush with the seat up your bathroom will get covered in germs, like your toothbrushes and flannels!! yuk!

Anushika, you're missing the point here. I don't want to know why women want the toilet seat down. I want to know why men have to put it down for women when they can do it themselves. I (along with every other man) don't expect women to put the seat up after they've used the toilet, so why do women expect me (and other men) to put it down when I'm (we're) finished? Another thing, I'm talking about the toilet seat, not the toilet lid. There's a difference. Tracyh, I'm guessing (and very much hoping) that you were joking about the feng shui thing. As for the hygiene issue, you're wrong. You (like Anushika) were talking about the toilet seat, when you obviously meant the toilet lid. Putting down the lid will prevent germs from spreading beacuse it stops toilet water and the contents of the toilet from being sprayed all over the bathroom. Putting down the seat will only slightly reduce it. I agree that the lid should be put down after every use which means the seat has to be put down as well, but I don't see why the seat should be put down for the reasons given by Trinity. Sounds like sexism to me, which women seem to know all about ;)
