Any confirmation that a street near Savoy theatre in Dublin was once called Gropec*nt Lane?

It's true, but not just for Dublin...London, York and Oxford for sure - and probably many other towns - all had similarly-named streets/passageways. Little imagination is required to work out what the thoroughfare's principal occupation was!
I may be wrong but i think the lane in question now goes by the much more acceptable name of Rory Gallagher St.
Confirm there was one in London also - in the City. we also have Coppice Lane (once Codpiece) and Star Alley (once Sl*t Alley). PS apologies of this eventually pops up twice - think first version may have got quarentined by the Language police.
It was Threadneedle Street in London that bore that monicker, I believe - where the Bank of England resides!
