I need to know the dirt cheapest way to get to ireland.I want to leave on thursday. I'm definitely not looking for nightlife or anything like that. I would like to stay some where secluded, quite away from the touristic parts, in short somewhere totally unlike London where I can get some peace and quiet. I would like to stay for three days, from thursday night to Sunday night/monday morning. Also accomodation:I don't mind paying a little extra for a nice place: 80 for four nights/does that realistic for somewhere? I'm asking for a lot people, but I need some peace and quiet away from the hustle and bustle of the big city!

give this page a visit..it will give loads of info on places to stay but anywhere will be nice and have plenty of spaces at the end of the season....anywhere bar Larne Co. Antrim which is where the tube goes when the world needs an enema.
The cheapest way to get there used to be by coach from Victoria station but it's also time consuming & just plain old fashioned horrible, once you're outside Ireland's major cities there won't be many youth hostels so you may need to stump up a little bit more then you're planning for accommodation.
BenDToy i'm guessing he/she lives in London - in which case crowdpleeser, you're gonna spend quite a bit of time travelling if you're going to Ireland (unless you can afford to fly) - why not consider somewhere in France? You could be in Dover in a couple hours driving, Dover - Calais ferry is dirt cheap followed by somewhere cheap and away from the cities................... why am i answering this on a friday if the guy left yesterday?
