I am currently having driving lessons so i am looking for my first car. want somethings for about �1,500. relaiable, cheap insurance and tax, something the size of a corsa, cheap to sort out if i get a few knocks and bangs and is nice to look at. can anyone suggects anything?

You don't often get something that's nice to look at, and cheap to fix (!) but have a look at www.autotrader.co.uk - you should find a range of corsa/fiesta size cars for �1500...

p.s. get quotes to insure various vehicles before buying one as a first time driver...

How about a Volkswagen Polo. You should get a S reg for �1300. Nice and small, hold their value, smaller engine sizes so cheaper to insure,

Say a 1.2 or a 1.4
Cheaper vehicle tax band that way too

I taught my sis to drive and her insurance was so cheap through these. They deal with first drivers

Answered your own question really, a Corsa is as good as anything, the smaller engine and basic spec as it will then be cheaper to insure,repair and service.
