Population in millions? 60 and 250?
Not sure of the answer but it's certainly not populations...France is 59,344,000, Greece is 10,624,00 and Belgium 10,259,000.
Right, and the USA is 280 mil. approaching 290 mil.
This has the look of a much-asked quiz question about international dialling codes. If that's what it is, then the UK is 44.
and a nope on that one as well Jenstar not sure of the others without checking but I know offhand that France is 0033 so that rules that one out as well...I'm not much good at saying what this is but I sure know what it ain't.

As a P.S. US is 001 & GB is 0044....the Northern Ireland dialing code is 0048 so the UK doesn't have a international dialing code as such.

Sorry sft42 but NI is not 0048. It doesn't have one because it is similar to the mainland with area codes eg Belfast is 028. The 0048 international code is actually Poland i think.
sft42. Northern Ireland comes under the same international dialing code as the rest of the UK.
Oh right the both of you....that would be why when I was in Dublin last year when I was still staying in County Antrim I managed to phone my home number by dialing 048 28 28 67 XX.....funny that girl in Warsaw had a really convincing Norn Iron accent!....I have first hand experience of using that international dialing code as I do the France one which is why I know them.
I've just checked the BT website to see which of you are actually right, and according to them +00 48 is the international dialling code for Poland and Northern Ireland numbers are given standard UK dialling codes (example: Belfast is 028).
sf42 - you say yourself you "managed to phone my home number by dialing 048 28 28 67 XX..." - So you didn't dial the international access code prefix 00, and thus you didn't use a country code. Seems that you can phone from the republic to NI without making an international call. If you had of dialled 00 48 etc you'd be getting Poland
