... move to the south of england ?? You must be joking. Have you ever been there - or lately. I've just moved to Derbyshire and nothing to do with the foreigner count in either place.
There are fewer foreign accents up here (not that I've been out much lately with all the DIY going on). We did a car boot before we moved and I can assure you in the field in north London where we were 80 -90% of those attending were either Asian, Oriental or eastern European. I sold all my Dads tools to east Europeans tho - except the panel beater - only an old Brit knew what that was.
The reason we quit the South? Sell up and go and buy one house and get one free 100 miles up the road. You can drive above 10 mph in the towns, people are happier, the pace is slower. And mainly because the south is full up. Which may bring us back to foreigners.
