The surname of one of the greatest tennis players ever seen at Wimbledon is an anagram of a capital city. Any idea's please.

This is a prize quiz question which only arrived last Thursday. As there are a couple of more weeks left to get answers in, I should persevere a bit more in looking for the answer. It is there to be found if you google a bit!

So sorry for asking THREE questions but going on holiday at the end of this week, so very little time. I only do the quiz for fun, so not interferring with any of you clever lot.
I only do the quiz for fun too and I'm not particularly clever :>) Without knowing your circumstances, I just thought it was a tadge unfair on others who perhaps don't want an answer JUST yet. If you look on the Quizzing UK site, you can ask these sort of questions and get a hint or too back, rather than a direct answer, which does seem to spoil the enjoyment for others. Good luck anyway and enjoy your hols.

Thanks for the lead. Will look on that site. Have spent ages looking on google without success.
Google list of capital cities and then go through the list - as long as you know your tennis from a few years ago it should be easy for you to find.

Thanks, I will have another look but as far as tennis is concerned, you might just as well be talking in a different language. Cant stand it, but hopefully something might jump out at me there.
Happy hols dear, stuck on this question myself. I also can't abide watching tennis, thought I was alone in this respect.
