I need a poem about the abortion I recently had. I was 23 weeks on and got told that my baby girl wasnt going to make it.
Me and her father got told either to have a termination or wait until I was 7 months and give birth to a still born.
I have experinced that before and couldnt go through it again , so I had the termination. It was the hardest thing I had to do.
Liying on that hospitol bed knowing I was moments away from ending my percious daughters life . Knowing I would
never feel her again , see her smile , hold her hand. Were holding a service for her since we cant have a funeral.
And i need a poem to express the way me and her father feel knowing we wont ever see her again.
I would like it to include the fact that i never wanted to get rid of her . Knowing i wont feel her inside me again.
Liying in bed with her father rubbing my bump telling her how much he loved her . Knowing i wont ever see her
precious smile , hearing her first words , hold her in my arms and tell her how much I love her. She was my baby ,
she may not be here with me now and we may be apart but she will always be in mine and her fathers hearts.

Thanks

You laid on the bed
Now your baby is dead
You never could see her
So she'll never be here

I hope these are better and more comfort than Amber's?

Little One
Hidden in my heart so long...
but that is not where you belong
so you may go but i must stay
Can't someone take this pain away?

Hidden in my heart so long...
does no one care about the wrong
so you are gone and i must pay
Can't someone take this guilt away?

How often i return to the tiny empty
tomb in my heart to
mourn
alone
Without even a name to remember
never flowers, only fears
Still i return weeping silent tears
always
alone.

My Little One...
does no one know or care
to share your memory
forever engraved over
that empty place
in my heart
But hidden in my heart so long...
is surely not where you belong.

I'll Hold You in Heaven

From the very beginning I loved you,
As I made plans to hold you and rock you:
You were tiny and helpless as you lay in my womb,
But something went wrong and soon you were gone;
My young heart was broken, my tears fell like rain,
I'd never known such heartache and pain.

I wonder who you look like, me or your dad,
Do you have my smile and his eyes?
Would you have been big and tall or tiny and small?
We had dreams for you that reached to the skies.
It was long, long ago and I still miss you so,
Thanks to Jesus, I'll see you in heaven.

I'll hold you in heaven someday,
When my trials on earth pass away;
The angels have rocked you, the Father watches over you,
I know you're waiting for me;
I never could hold you or tell you "Goodbye",
But I'll hold you in heaven someday

We had one child, death bore her away,
She never saw the light of day,
So sweet, so pure and so fair,
With those same bright eyes, the same dark hair
As her father, God called her to the sky,
Alas our darling had to die.

That fragile form beneath the sod
Slumbers sweetly, near our God,
But Oh, our lost one, doubly dear
Since death has claimed her, have no fear
There is a place in both our hearts
For her dear memory set apart.

Our darling will have no hardships and strife,
No bitterness, heartaches and sorrows of life;
With sadness and affliction our hearts pulsate,
But in heaven for us our angel will wait,
Too good for earth, God called her home,
And we are left to mourn alone.
just say what you said in your question, that in itself shows your feelings and is more true, beautiful and moving than a poem.
My God Amber63, that is horrid and Phoebe I can't give you any words because there are probably none that discribe what your going through.
My thoughts are with you.
I'm so sorry to hear of your plight Phoebe and hope in time you will heal and go onto have a successful pregnancy and birth, if that is what you want.

Good luck
An Angel Never Dies
Dont let them say I wasnt born,
That something stopped my heart
I felt each tender squeeze you gave,
Ive loved you from the start.

Although my body you cant hold
It doesnt mean Im gone
This world was worthy, not of me
God chose that I move on.

I know the pain that drowns your soul,
What you are forced to face
You have my word, Ill fill your arms,
Someday we will embrace.

Youll hear that it was meant to be,
God doesnt make mistakes
But that wont soften your worst blow,
Or make your heart not ache.

Im watching over all you do,
Another child youll bear
Believe me when I say to you,
That I am always there.

There will come a time, I promise you,
When you will hold my hand,
Stroke my face and kiss my lips
And then youll understand.

Although Ive never breathed your air,
Or gazed into your eyes
That doesnt mean I never was,
An Angel never dies.

Child
A tiny life is growing
Inside a cosy place
His arms and legs are flailing
A smile is on his face.
His mother feels a tiny kick
Upon her rounded tummy
and waits impatiently for the day
When she becomes a mummy.
The babys smile is fading
But his eyes are open wide
He knows that hell be leaving soon
But will never see outside.
There arent so many kicks now
In fact theres none at all
Gran says that babys sleeping
and keeps knitting up his shawl.
His life is draining quickly
But no-one knows a thing
A tiny smile fleets his face
When he hears his mother sing.
He knows that hell remember her
and the things he heard her say
Peacefully and happily
The baby drifts away.
Mummy knows that somethings wrong
and is at the clinic before too long
A scan is done and doctor says
Im sorry, babys gone.
The grief is overwhelming
The sadness takes its toll
Friends and family gather round
As hes buried in his shawl.
As time goes by and lapses on
His mother sheds a tear
and hears these words inside her head
Mum Im always here,
Ill never ever leave you
Although you may not know
Ill be beside you every day
Through laughter, joy and woe.
Youll never need to miss me
For I am in your heart
and though were in two different worlds
Well never be apart.
I hope one of these might help you Phoebe.
We longed to hold you,
to see you smile,
to hear your first words,
to comfort you when you cry.

Your father and I loved you
More than words could ever say
And when you left us,
It broke our hearts in two.

All the joy we hoped for
Was just not to be,
You had to go away
To be with the Lord.

But we will still see
Your smile in the Sun,
Yours tears in the falling rain,
Your voice in the blowing wind.

Until we are reunited
Never to part again,
Remember, little one
That we think of you each day.
