They should bar old people between the hours of 12-2pm. Taking half a bleeding hour for paying for half of sausages with the contents of the sme66ing gas meter, makes my bl00d boil. Ok so they have time on their hands and would like a nice chat with the cashier. FFS get on with it, the rest of us have to earn a crust and believe it or not only have an hour for kin lunch!
I was there jake, I was the Geezer on the R1 who hoisted a beauty as you where hanging about for the old girl. As you say some days it's great to be alive! Chill out MrsT, you'll be old one day!
A whole hour???
You're lucky, I only get 45 minutes.
And I went to somerfield, who never have more than one till open, even though it's always really busy.
And there was an old dear in front of me who had to open three envelopes in her bag, until she found the right money.
But i was very patient.
Shame on you :(
If I`m in the queue and an old dear infront of me is fumbling for change for what looks like her weeks dinner and she`s counting out her pennies I would pay it for her
That would give me more satisfaction than posting on here moaning about it
I am 86,and normally whip around the supermarket, and go through the checkout at a rate of knots!
Maybe in the future I will be slow like the persons you mention,,as it may be you behind me,and I would love to think it was YOU I was aggravating! LOL
can you not make your own sandwich? it would cut down on the time wasted running to and from the shop, if your lunchtime is precious then maybe you should manage your time better, it would also save money.
I agree with you Mrs T. Also they should be banned on Saturdays. My mum goes Mon-Fri at 9am. She also agrees it's not fair to take up the 'workers' lunch time.
You never were a patient woman, were you Mrs T. I would have thought you'd have had a bit more consideration for the elderly now you're retired yourself. Well, at least you've stopped short of hitting them with your handbag - I hope!
I know you don't literally mean old people shuld be barred from shopping at lunchtime, Mrs T, and I see your point. It always seems to be when you are in a hurry that you get stuck behind some frustrating slowpoke (not necessarily an old person), and when you get frustrated it tests your patience to breaking point. And when you're in a hurry, you don't want to be held up. And if it's an old person you feel that you can't say anything because they can't help it.
Why expect others to organise their lives to suit you? If you find the supermarket too busy at lunchtime, make the effort to leave home a bit earlier in the mornings and do your shopping then.
