What's you claim to fame? Mine would have to be either stroking Lee Hurst's head (off They Think It's Over) or standing next to Mark Owen in Selfridges (very lame I know!!).

Lloyd George knew my father.
(1) I have kissed Heather Ripley (the girl in the film Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, now of course grown up with kids of her own) at a party and she nicked my pint afterwards. (2) Goldie Hawn let me take her photo in Central Park, New York, while she was filming The First Wives' Club (I've still got the photo). (3) I shook hands with Morgan Freeman in Kelvingrove Park, Glasgow, when he was filming Danny the Dog. (4) My mate Colin's dad stood on Joan Baez's toe at Edinburgh Airport when she was coming to do a concert :-)
I have met the current Pope, I've chatted to the Queen a few times. I've been drinking with Liam Neeson and Al Pacino.

I have to say I'm hugely jealous of all of these answers. I must've lived a sheltered life so far!!!
My mams cousin plays the handsome callum in hollyoaks (ben's mate), used to play steven murray in brookside! I have seen that lad that played the skinny geordie in purley belter working in topman in sunderland a couple of years ago. My uncle john was in the searchers (v.popular in the beatles era)
Oh yeah, and i got drunk with brandon block in kavos! How could i forget???
I met Chris Eubank at the airport last year. I've also met Joey from Bread and Jossy from Jossy's Giants (a kids tv show in the 80's) I went backstage at a Red Hot Chili Peppers gig cos the cousin of my boyfriend at the time was in one of the support bands. Antony Keidis walked past me and I was standing next to Stephen Dorff. Was too shy at the time to say anything to either as this was when i was younger - it'd be a different story now! A lot of people i know are in bands and are often in rock/metal magazines like Kerrang and Metal Hammer. But this isn't too impressive as they're not that famous!
I used to work for Lesley Lonsdale-Cooper who was the co translator of the Tin Tin books from French into English.  I actually did all the typing for the book 'Cigars of the Pharoah' and she signed the very first copy off the production run for me.  This was back in 1971.  Does that make me famous?  I believe she is still alive, must be in her 90's and I often read about her on the internet.
Just been discussing this question with my mam and she went to school with Emma Wray (Brenda in TV show 'watching') and my nan went to school with Crosswits Tom O Connor! Now i think thats it now!

Oh, wait, I have another one which I cannot believe I forgot about. Around Xmas time last year quite a famous boxer was in Preston where I saw him and ended up kissing him even though he was quite a lot smaller than me!!! I don't really want to mention his name cause I'm not sure of his marital status but he's a prous manc lad.
My Dad went to arts school with David Jones form the monkeys, I went to the same school as Diana Rigg (james bond girl) I think an ex boyfriend of mine is going to be in the next serries of big brother (not 100% on this as yet for obvious reasons as they are not allowed to tell anyone...)
I am famous, I don't need to claim it.
i met joshua jackson (pacey from dawson's creek) on a beach in mexico, i nearly got run over by roy keane, and paul nicholls lives on my road. vinny wins by a mile tho, taking a leak with hendrix!

As well as being famous myself. Just to name a few and if I miss anyone out I apologise.

I used to live next door to the late Russell Hunter and opposite to Liza Goddard. My garden backed onto Tessa Wyatts of whom my wife went to school with.Britt Ekland bought me a drink as did Christopher Lee and Lewis Collins. I've also met the late Queen Mother and Princess Diana.

There are lots more but I wont bore you.

i met pat sharp when i was about 13!! (how embarresing!) carrol decca used to work in a pub that i sometimes drink in (not really a claim to meeting some one but close!)
my boyfriend played pool and had a few pints bought for him by that man off the glen moringine advert (he tells me he is famous but i don't know who he is) the one with curly hair i think.

oh my boyf also went to see bauhaus at brixton accademy and at the end martin (my bf) was the only one shouting for more and the lead singer winked at him (he treasures that moment because the lead singer is his hero!) oh and martin called marilyn manson a **** **** too (to his face obviously)

I dated a premiership footballer for a while.Best not to name names!!

If anyone remembers the 1990s kids show Maid Marian and Her Merry Men I met Gary the knight in the audience at a play. Two of us begged him for an autograph and he was really horrible, you'd think he was an A list celeb! That same night I met the bloke who used to be Charlie in the Darling Buds of May and he was lovely. My Mum knows Julian Clary's Mum. Oh and I kissed someone on holiday once who used to work with Anneka Rice on Challenge Anneka. I'll stop barrel scraping now.
