Has anyone ever washed a 'dry clean only' lambswool item, without it shrinking?

I bought a lambswool blanket/throw without realising it is dry clean only. I don't know if I dare risk washing it on a very cool wash - but we don't have a dry cleaners in the village where I live.

Thanks.

How about washing it on the silk /delicate cycle , it's a very gentle cool
wash and slow spin .

Thanks t'only. I'll give that a go.
I always wash dry clean only in the machine.
Try washing it by hand in the bath.
