...what's the link format?  I see it goes to Multimap but how does it work?

www.snipurl.com and "Make a Shorter Link"; http://www.masl.to/ will convert a lengthy web link like the MultiMap one above, or like those you get from Amazon or eBay.

 

Just copy a long link from your web-browser into the boxes on those pages, and  they will a create a much shorter link that directs you to the same page.

Thus the link from Multimap was originally;
