does anyone know what Casbah is ?, i hear its a castle or something but not sure

Actually, it's a section of old cities in North Africa.  This section is where the citadel is located...

I know this probably isn't the answer you're looking for, but it's also a perfume, by Avon.

We once had a pure white cat and me and my sister wanted to call it Casper, after the 'friendly white ghost'; but my Mom said it was too common, so she twisted it a little bit and called him Casbah after her perfume.
