Why are sub-contintental Asians so prone to racist epiphets?
Day after day I get stupid jokes p a k i this and that, black this and that, I know Orientals suffer racism but to a far lesser degree I feel.
Why is this?
We use Arabic numerals, adopted Indian words into our own lexicon, we eat curry by the ton, and yet all things Indian are disparaged by racists, why?
The Indian was never subjected to slavery, they were described as "brown English men" back in the day, their soldiers were the back bone of the empire (especially the Sikhs), but still the Indian is subjected to a greater degree of ignorance than other colours.
Or am I barking up the wrong tree?

I don't know why people use that P word to describe people from India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Nepal.
Can you tell by sight? I can't, no more can I tell if a person is English, Scottish, German, Belgian or French.
I have no idea why Indians are called P***s. Indians are mainly Hindu or Sikh (can be other religions including Christian) whereas Pakistanis are mainly (but not all) Muslim.
The politics of Pakistan are extremely complicated, especially since the enforced division from India.
It is wrong to confuse Pakistanis with Indians or Bangladeshis. They are each distinct and to label all as P****s merely shows the users ignorance.

Funny thing about so many humans. Such motivation to identify and rise up against a perceived threat yet so unwilling to contemplate their own potential for self development.

So comfortable to blame the failings of their own society on the success of "foreigners" who contribute immensely to the collective good. Across the planet immigrants have been driven by their childhood poverty in their birth country to make the most of the opportunity afforded to them in their new home.

Meanwhile the indolent indigenous relentlessly persecute them for their efforts. Racism is a pathetic admission of one's own failure.

I couldn't agree more with the sentiments expressed, I'm not questioning the ideology of racists, I'm perplexed as to why sub-continental Asians suffer a greater degree of antipathy, it makes no sense.

Everton you will meet all sorts while you are on the planet. Treat people as you find them.

The children at my local school can count up to Ten in Punjabi,Sanskrit and some other Language that i can not think of, They know all about the Diwali festival and the Eid festival.

Brainwash the child for he is our future.

Inter race racism isn't the issue I'm exploring, why is it I only see "jokes" about planes flying only from India or Pakistan with this volcanic dust cloud, or chucking people off buildings but not elsewhere?
I just don't understand why that is.

I'm sure they wouldn't everton, a lot of people don't understand the history you mention either. You can try if you think it would work, but you may not change them.

TWR, probably because they are not, and never were, from Pakistan. Could be from India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sikkim or a host of other countries.
And the P word has never, ever been used in a complimentary way.

it might just be sheer numbers. It can be easy to fail to see them as real people when you know there are a billion of them. (You could say the same for Chinese, of course, but they've never been in Britain in such numbers.)

That's just a guess. Some of the other suggestions here, eg about physical size, also ring true.
