I think that technically he requires the monarchs permission, but yes he can. The troube is he may not be allowed to marry a divorcee. And inherit. All a load of tosh, really. Poor old hippy deserves a bit of happiness and if Camilla floats his boat (no accounting for taste) then good luck to him.
It is all a bit ridiculous that he can't marry a divorcee and be crowned King when the Church of England was set up so Henry VIII could get a divorce. Then again, I am a Catholic - and a Republican.
I realised I didn't actually answer your question - it's to do with him being head of the Church of England. It's aparently OK to divorce, but not to re-marry (don't ask me why, it's not my religion).
I think JohnPPotts jumps the gun-he's not head of the Church of England yet. I don't think he plans to be called 'Head of the Church of England' as he thinks the role is more multicultural. I'm not actually a Royalist, you know.
