its a known cliche that apparently all women have spent most of their childhood dreaming of a big white wedding...

its not true of course, but i do know for many it is true...and they dreamed of nothing else and even collected pictures of meruingues and flowers etc

so how many here felt like that as a child?...and how many still do?

im curious as to the general percentage of girls who felt/feel like this

thanks

Nope, never did think like that.
No it never occurred to me.
No, never.
Surprisingly.......No.
joko, your next question should probably be 'How many ABers are in total denial...?'
No, never wanted to get married, let alone the big white do, and am very happily single still at 45.
Yep - and I had a lovely white wedding with flowers, cake - the works! A lovely sunny hot day too in September 43 years ago ........
Nope, never did and never did have
I've never dreamt of my future wedding at all. I know what kind of things I would like to have but not to the extent of having a scrapbook or anything.
Even if a girl does dream about every single detail being exactly how she wants it, it's not always what she thought she wanted. Does that make sense? lol
Like on Don't Tell the Bride. They all have an exact view of how they want everything to be. Then the guy plans something completely different and you think she's gonna hate it but it is better than anything she could have dreamt of.
Can't really comment on what women want as I'm male but if it helps I always imagined my bride looking virginal and ethereal in the early morning mist with sunbeams dancing gently through her hair, instead I got a gobby demanding mare who looked like something out of TOWIE and a registry office in Belfast with my first wife:(
lol. nox " she speaks very highly of you to "
In what context do 'dream' and 'wedding' go together...............
Nope - can't imagine me looking like a Big Fat Gypsy wedding, no way. I didn't have a big white wedding the first time, and the second time was peacock coloured.
LOL Nox - your first wife? Hope the second is less "gobby and demanding"
made me laugh that NOX.
No, never dreamt of a big white wedding as a child.
No never!........my biggest dread!.....would hate it, My wedding was simple, and quiet, very informal, I loved it just the way it was!.....
No.....The thought of it is a nightmare come true.
Errrm, nope, not me

I did however, dream of the Love of my Life whisking me away to live in loved up harmony somewhere. I didn't care where as long as he was perfect

Sadly let Mr Perfect go and now he can't come back, ever :(
No... I wouldn't have liked all those people watching me and I never wanted to get married in a church. I liked looking at the dresses and shoes though if I saw photos of other peoples weddings.
