When you were a child and got your gifts from Santa on Christmas morning, were they just as you would find in a shop or were they gift wrapped? In our house they were not wrapped up but in my wife's house they were. When Santa visits our house nowadays he leaves our child's gifts wrapped up as well.

How did you receive your Santa gifts when you were young and how does he present your children's gifts now?

When I was Santa I wrapped all the things I forced into woolly socks.
There are 3 stages of life: first, you believe in Santa. second, you don't believe in Santa. third: you are Santa.
We had ours wrapped up but my boyfriend had a few from Father Christmas which weren't wrapped up and a few from his mum and dad which were. Half the fun is unwrapping so when I have children they will definitely recevie presents from Father Christmas wrapped up!
Never had any truck with Santa..........

Father Christmas always wrapped my presents.
Yep Jack; same!
Mine were always wrapped up. That's how I found out the truth. I saw a photo of my mum wrapping them all! :-(
All ours were wrapped as children, and all still are for my girls, even though they are all mums!
Always wrapped - thats half the fun, trying to guess what it is.
You had it lucky, Erin! Forward to about 2:50...

on xmas morning, we each had a pile on an armchair and my brother had the couch because he was oldest...

i remember sometimes opening wrapped ones but i suppose they were from aunties etc

now we swap them, wrapped after xmas dinner (except for the kids)
Presents are wrapped and stocking fillers are unwrapped.
Mr Boo wraps the stocking fillers too- the nutter.
To be fair, last year nothing was bought until Christmas Eve so it's a some anything was wrapped!
No idea what 'some' should have been ^
I wrap everything father Christmas never matches the baubles on the tree even presents from guests are slipped into coordinated gift bags
Gifts from family were always wrapped in our house when I was a child, but the ones from Santa weren't, my Mother told us that he didn't have the time, and anyway, that's how we could tell which ones were from him!.....seemed reasonable to me, however, I have always wrapped everything for my children............
Gosh Rowan - you'd have heart failure if you saw our tree last year, looked like something Wilie Wonk and Barbie had dreamt up (it was awful but the kids loved it).
Haha Sher, probably looked a lot like ours, the grandsons decorated it, they were 3 and 4 at the time, it looked like it'd been dragged through a hedge backwards!..........they thought it was fab!..........lol.........
It was awful, gave me a headache to look at - so many neon colors and two strings of colour changing, flashing lights that were never in synch, had to switch the lights off when the kids went to bed!
yes sher, ours was very garish too!......funny thing is though, the one in their own house was colour co ordinated and lovely!.........My daughter stage managed that one I think!...........
I used to wrap everything, even tubes of Smarties, it made it look more! Now I wrap the grandchildren's presents, but I use different paper for each child so I can dispense with tags!
