When you were a child and got your gifts from Santa on Christmas morning, were they just as you would find in a shop or were they gift wrapped? In our house they were not wrapped up but in my wife's house they were. When Santa visits our house nowadays he leaves our child's gifts wrapped up as well.

How did you receive your Santa gifts when you were young and how does he present your children's gifts now?

Cc1 - we tried that, but with so many children the plan went a bit awry. We now write their name on their presents with a huge felt tip pen.
The things in my stocking weren't wrapped, but any presents under the tree were always wrapped.

When I was little, presents from Aunties etc always had labels on so I knew who to thank (oh, the dreaded thank-you letters!) but my ex was completely different, all the presents were left on his bed so he never knew who had given what, it was all from Santa. That seemed very odd to me.
Stocking fillers were wrapped, even individual sweets and other tiny things. They were left in a long sock at the bottom of the bed. We opened them when we awoke and before we did anything else.

Once downstairs the main presents were wrapped and under the tree but these hadn't been delivered by Father Christmas, just brought round by friends and family.
