Yes, maggie, Savile Row tailors would still prefer customers to have braces, because it's easier to make the trousers hang well than with adjusters but expect them, or the younger ones at least, to want the adjusters . Thirty years ago, they still insisted that every suit was made for braces; the only concession was that you did not have to have the trousers high at the back; they would allow you, just, to have something approaching belt height as a waistband.
