Why do you hardly ever see muslims doing hard manual work or playing physical sports such as rugby or football?

I'm not being racist, it's just an observation and I wondered if anyone else had noticed and what the reason was.

In this day and age, how such ignorance can still exist is beyond me... Ridiculous!!!
Wasn't the man reckoned to be the greatest boxer ever, at least in his own mind, Mohammad Ali, a Muslim?
He wasn't born a Muslim.
he wasn't born Mohammad Ali, either

I know :-)
Having lived in the Middle East for five years I can assure everyone that football is massive, and is played practically everywhere, from the lushest grass pitches to scrubby dusty areas of wasteground

Rugby however, is not, but that is cultural rather than religious. Do Canadians, Americans, Russians or Brazilians play rugby to any great degree?
And when there were mills in the north of England lots of Muslims worked there. I'd say they weren't easy jobs.

Not being funny but who builds houses and mines and build roads in muslim countries?

There was an Arabian Gulf rugby league and at least 8 countries have international teams.
perhaps it's not your answer that's funny, Davethedog, but the original question?

I hope the OP is learning something.
The Arabian Gulf rugby league is mostly ex-pats and yours truly played in it for Al Ain Amblers.

Yes, the roads in the UAE and Saudi are built ostensibly by Indians and Pakistanis, but I think you'll find the latter are almost exclusively Muslim, and both are employed because they are cheaper than other alternatives.
Perhaps the men are not as fit as women.

Ron.
I once saw a crowd of Muslim women, all in black burkas, playing football in a little park near the Royal Shakespeare Theatre in Stratford. And before anyone asks, I could tell from their voices that they were women. It was definitely one of those 'am I really seeing this' moments as it was so bizarre. But then again, why shouldn't they?.
Because women can't play football????

Retreats to a safe distance...............
Duncer, come here and be slapped, please
LOL.
There are a number of Muslims taking part for 'Team GB' in the forthcoming Olympics.
