I really like The Beatles, I like almost every song and album they ever made and I think they were ahead of their time and likewise are as relevant today as they were in their heyday. What is your opinion of them?

yes - always trailblazers. Never bettered.
Yay, without doubt
Better than the Rolling Stones.
A resounding yes from me. Being a "baby boomer" meant we were lucky enough to have been there. I saw them Live but honestly all you could hear were screams.
Why were The Beatles screaming at you, chrissa?
The Beatles were a huge part of my formative teenage years. I loved, and still love, listening to them.
Paul was my favourite and George was next.
Ha, ha factor.
Nay
Yay
I really only came to them once they'd gone a bit weird in the 70s. I never appreciated the double white album like my peers did. Revolver turned out to be my favourite but I don't listen to them by choice anymore.
The whole world knows, "All My Loving", yet it was never a single...
I like their music - and I liked George Harrison .....
If you can do 'Eleanor Rigby' and 'Yellow Submarine' as a double A side single (1966) then you know you've got something special !
A "nae" for me. Of their time yes, and responsible for some great albums, but only some. Macca is doing his best to erase any vestige of respect I had for them.
Don't think that The Long And Winding Road was either not this side of the Atlantic anyway, Haggisdj.
For a band who were so prolific in a relatively short time, it's remarkable that they only made a handful of duff tracks.

They ended the US domination of the UK music scene in '62/'63, and paved the way for artists writing their own material.

As Mosaic says, they were trailblazers, and their songs still sound good today.
I was always a fan of the Beatles, but the Rolling Stones and the Who were better bands live on stage. Perhaps that was because with all the screaming you couldn't hear the Beatles!!
Beep, beep, beep, beep NO!
Every generation rediscovers the Beatles - and that has been going on for several generations ! BUT - there comes a time when the winner of the X factor or Stars in Their Eyes or Britain's Got Talent is more important. That is the time to shuffle off the mortal coil !
I disagree. When did the dance, rave or electronic generation rediscover them? When did the nineties generation rediscover them?

I know Oasis plagiarised them, as well as the Stones and other sixties acts, and many acts were influenced by them, but they are "Yesterday's" news.
