I really like The Beatles, I like almost every song and album they ever made and I think they were ahead of their time and likewise are as relevant today as they were in their heyday. What is your opinion of them?

Hey Duncer ! My son is 23 and he had downloaded all the Beatles albums ,which I had boxed under the stairs, by the time he was 16 (on his MP thing). My Dad loved traditional Jazz and I still have some of his 78's (boxed under the stairs). Soon all the Jazz men will be dead. Know where
I'm coming from ?
♫ ♪ Yeah, yeah, yeah.....♪♫
When. I was in school every time they brought out a
new record we'd all be kinda confused & dissapointed
cos it sounded odd to us. Within a week the whole
bus'd be singing along to it.
Yay, but everytime Macca murders Hey Jude at a live event I think nae
Beatles chord sequences are unique.

George Harrison's guitargasm at the end of 'The End' is forever etched in my memory and I'll be happy if it's the last thing I hear when I die.
I’ve no doubt it's superb – but I can’t say it’s my lingering memory of George Harrison….. cor! ;o)
Yay - but I don't like all their stuff.
In the early 60s you were either a Beatles - or a Stones - fan. I was always one of the Fab Four, and I totally agree that not only were they ahead of their time, but they split up way too soon to go their separate ways - a great shame.
Yay. And the Rolling Stones. Both from "my" era.

Not in the least. One of my nephews has followed my love of Hendrix and Zep while the other loves rave and dance. They are only two years apart. Also, as I have aged I have come to appreicate older music from before my time, but I will always think of The Beatles as a good band who are vastly overrated.
when any other group does this on the American charts

they'll be as good as the Beatles.
Definite yay.
jno - an entirely moot point given that the Spice Girls broke all sorts of sales records too.

Sales do not equally quality, although I readily concede that The Beatles are a bit better than the Spicies.

I liked their early stuff, when they had the pudding basin hair cuts and natty suits, don't like their hippy (ish) stuff.
No, I never liked them
Yay Yay Yay
I think they wrote good songs for other artists but as themselves they don't do it for me!
Loved the Beatles - saw them twice in Dundee in the early 60s. Cathy Kirby and Cilla Black were also on the bill though I never liked either of them. Apparently George Harrison once said - No Shadows, no Beatles. Loved the Shadows too though not Cliff.
