Christmas Tree Preferences

Just wondering what type of Christmas Tree everyone has, what sort of dressing do you prefer, is it real or out of a box, is it plain or is it multi-coloured, when do you put it up and when do you take it down?

It always used to be a real tree when the kids were young, no matter where we were. It was a family affair like in the movies. Everyone had a turn of choosing and hanging of lots of decorations. No colour co-ordination or whatever is in vogue now, just whatever each wanted.

We now have a pathetic looking 4ft. plastic one with optic fibre branches. Not my choice.

Artificial but as near real looking as I could get. Wine, gold and bronze bobbles plus a few bits of tat made by the grandkids. Comes down on 12th night.

A fairly realistic looking fake one about 6 feet tall.
Apart from the hassle of dropped needles etc, real ones are pretty expensive these days.

I put up my five foot pink pre-lit tree one night a week or so ago. I came down in the morning to find my little tom cat eating it. It is back in its box (the tree) and there is pink tinsel in the litter tray!
