do you believe in it?
i was gonna make a new account to talk about this so you didnt all think i was mad but the fact that we would have had the same avatar could have been a dead giveaway :P
anyway..... ive always had lucid dreams and often had what people refer to as sleep paralysis but ive always thought there was more to it than your brains awake but your bodies not kind of thing....if there was just the sense of paralysis i could believe it but the sense that something evil is in the room with me makes me believe its more than that... also i had this long before i heard others had it and after reading about it i find it completely weird that people throughout the ages from all different backgrounds and cultures can have the same experience of an evil thing near them
to cut a long story short a fortnight ago i gave someone a personal belonging of mine then later joked he was going to do voodoo on me
since then i have had night terrors a lot worse than ever before.... im not stressed, i dont touch alcohol or any drugs at all.... i spoke with a friend whos alim and he advised me to among other things play a recording of quran while i sleep... i did this for 2 or 3 nights and nothing happened. last night i forgot to put it on and it was back full force
so my question is simple.... do you believe witchcraft exists?

i wasnt having a debate with you about anything so how can i have lost it? i merely said i find your replies can be belittling and offensive.. i have the skin of a rhino and therefore have you dont offend me but like i said im sure (in fact i know) you offend others... as to continually displaying my religion, i mention it if its relevant to what the discussion is about
you are saying you dont offend or whatever you said then you say this...
*or to conceal their disdain* so therefore you are admitting that you are actually doing more than i accused you of .... just so you fully aware of what disdain means ive copied and pasted for you

Pixi, //i wasnt having a debate with you about anything so how can i have lost it? //
You weren't? What’s all this about then? And I didn’t say you’d lost it. Read my post again.
//i merely said i find your replies can be belittling and offensive..//
So what are you saying? That you want me to agree with people with whom I disagree, or that you want me to pussyfoot around them because they are incapable of distinguishing between criticism of religion and criticism of the individual – or would you rather I just shut up completely?
// i have the skin of a rhino and therefore have you dont offend me //
Good, I’m pleased to hear it.
//but like i said im sure (in fact i know) you offend others...//
I’ve no doubt you know - and I’ve no doubt *you know who* they are – and so do I. I’m not *directly* privy to off-AB discussions with those who claim offence and I’ve no wish to be – but I am quite aware of the content of their gossip - and I actually find the cowardly little innuendoes sometimes posted here that emanate from that juvenile prattle quite amusing. ;o)

I said that I attack the message, not the messenger. If people choose to take that as a personal slight, they need to address their misconceptions.
//then you say this...

That sounds about right. I do feel that religion is unworthy of my respect; I do scorn it, and I do hold it in contempt. However, that is not the same thing at all as holding the believer, on a personal basis, in contempt, which is what you – and the tittle-tattlers - fail to understand. I’ll give you an example. For several years now, Keyplus and I have locked horns – sometimes quite mightily - over religion, but - don’t tell him because he’ll think I’ve gone soft and that would never do – I actually quite like him as a person. He has a very good sense of humour – and the same applies to some of the other people of religion here – Clanad, I like, and I like Theland very much indeed, but I have no respect whatsoever for his beliefs, and I doubt he has any for mine - but that’s fine by me. That’s his prerogative. Unfortunately, by those who continually cry ‘victim’ I don’t seem to be afforded the courtesy of being allowed to have a ‘prerogative’. (And if any of those three believers are reading this, I trust they will forgive me for using them in my example).
