Being stupid here but can someone please tell me the difference between the Diamond Jubilee (last year) and this years 60th Coronation anniversary ?

The Queen's accession to the throne was 1952.

The Queen's Coronation was 1953.
Why duplicate questions?

Didn't know which category to put it in. Didn't think many would look in the Society & Culture section : )
her father died 6 Feb 1952, The Princess became Queen then, it took 16 months of planning and organisation to arrange the coronation as the first order of business was to organise the King's funeral
