Whats the best foundation you have used and how do you apply cream foundations so they do not go streaky? I usually use a Max Factor compact but after spending �10 a time on it, I am sick of the foundation in the container cracking after about a week making it almost unusable and covering everything in my handbag. Need to change products but not sure which one to go for. I need something that will do a decent job at masking spots and give a matt complexion. Any suggestions?

I can recommend Estee Lauder Doublewear - it gives a lovely even matt finish which lasts all day.  It costs �20 but well worth it.

I love Dior's Fluide Foundation, great finish and lasts all day, if you prefer a compact style product then try Estee Lauders Flawless Finish both cost around �20 but last for ages. Why not pop into John Lewis or Debenhams and visit their beauty department, you will pick up lots of useful tips and maybe even a wee freebie!!

I recently bought 'Maybeline matte mouse' I think this one is really good and doesn't feel heavy or thick.

I use Max Factor Colour Adapt.  It claims to adapt to the different colours in your skin, dont know if this is true but it doesnt streak on me!

 

The 2 main reasons that liquid foundation streaks are:

1. you havent let your moisturiser sink in properly/ using a too heavy moisturiser

2. you are using the wrong colour
