Is It True That Religion Was Forced Upon Blacks By Their White Slave Owners?

Does anyone know this for an absolute fact? I have read this on youtube from a few youtube users that religion was made up by white slave owners who used it to control their black slaves. I would like accurate anwers from people who actually know this to be true.

First of all when you say “religion”, do you mean any specific religion? I can guess from your question that you are talking about Christianity. First of all I don’t think you will find anyone on AB who has first-hand knowledge as no one is that old. But according to the history books Christianity spread into Africa when these areas were colonised by Western countries. A huge number of priest and missionaries went to Africa (and all over the world) to “save” then and even to this date it continues. There are more American missionaries worried about the solvation of Africans than their own countrymen, Americans who have and are moving away from Christianity.

So to coming back to your question, Slavery by Western powers and not the individual slave traders perhaps.

KP, I don't think 'western powers' indulged in slavery any more than 'eastern powers'. Certainly when the Arabs colonised North Africa and Spain, becoming muslim was about the only way of avoiding becoming a slave.

No. Indiginous ppl wanted free education that only missionaries offer. Most missionaries were/are christian.
