In our everyday lives we encounter so many different scenarios? To what extent does the Bible influence your character and judgment?

Well I keep getting this urge to go build a big boat every time it rains.
Living in wales, that must be a frequent urge.

Not at all because I'm not into fiction or fairy stories.
How does one know whether or not one's Sunday School lessons influence them now? Would I still think that murder is wrong if I had not been to Sunday School. I hope so.
Did your parents not teach you that daisy?
Not that I remember. Did yours?
I'm pretty sure they taught me right from wrong and included taking the life of another living creature.
You are sure, but do you actually remember?
Well, I'm damn well sure it wasn't Sunday school or my teachers.
Well I know mine did, they had common sense and knew right from wrong.
My parents taught me that first -" don't squash the snail, it's not nice" kind of thing, confirmed as I grew up by family, friends, teachers, TV, etc. At some point i got to the age i could empathise (can't remember when), which also confirmed what I'd been taught.
Moral standards and knowing between right and wrong were around long before Christianity, they may have had different values though in those days.
Never even attempted to squash a snail. Why would I?
I'm not saying you would- most toddlers attempt to squash insects at some point, and are taught be their parents not to.

@methyl - the Bible taught you that? Your own decency & "Christian" (sic) values should be enough to allow you to help those in need.

Methyl - ///The bible taught me how to help others who cant help themselves///

Really? Did you feel you could not act in the same way without recourse to the Bible?

Lie-in king - we obviously think alike!
