Tattoos - Bitter Additions Or Changes Or Insensitive Ones
15 Answers
Purely curiosity here
just seen an image of a tattoo where the man had martina on his hand and covered the mar with a rose - as his new gf was called tina ... and i just wondered how you would feel if your partner did something like that?
rather than just cover it ...i cant decide if i would feel a bit weird about - like if your bf gave you his exwifes engagement ring to get engaged with or something ... would be odd
also how would you feel if you met a new partner and discovered they had a tattoo of an ex's name - but had something added to it - like VOID, or mistake, or *** or some sort of nasty, bitter comment - again instead of just covering it, or removing
i cant help thinking it would put me off them ... that someone would rather add a permanent nasty and bitter comment on their body, kind of says more about them rather than the person they are insulting.
firstly that they are not over them, but also that they may have anger issues, or a bit twisted etc
what do you think]
]thanks
(as i say just curious about this)

buenchico - some of those are what i mean - the ones calling her a *** or writing void etc
nothing wrong with completely covering it - i'd expect that - but covering it with nastiness is odd
and also half covering it, or trying to turn it into the name of your new partner - just seems a bit weird to me

yes jno, definitely - it was just in this particular case he only covered half of it, and left some showing as it was his new girl name - but it think itd feel a bit weird - as whatever you cover it with - those letters were originally written with someone else in mind ... id rather a bloke just covered completely, and if he wanted my name, he gets a tatt with me in mind, for me, kind of thing.
it kind of just seems like a 'convenience' rather than a nice gesture
that said - i wouldnt want my name on anyone anyway really
but regarding the void, or insult thing - yes it may be amusing for a bit - if you drew it on with pen or something - but to actually tattoo it on - instead of spending that cash on removal ... ??
