During the odd volunteer work stints over the years, I have met various people who seemed genuinely interested in local Society matters and helping the somewhat disadvantaged. Some of these helpful genuine people have climbed their way up into local council and I am astonished at the higher their position, the more their character has changed. (and not for the better, I might add)

of, for, or relating to citizens !
