Anyway I think if they have any sense, and minty above demonstrates that some do, then they'll vote to stay in the UK again and again.....etc as the neverendum goes on. Could become an annual thing until Queen Nicola gets her way!
Murraymints....".we do NOT have the resources to be independant..". Whenever anyone says that I marvel at how so many countries of both smaller land mass and/or smaller (some far smaller) population continue to do well as independent countries, and therefore presumably achieving the impossible in the process. In at least one of these the comparison is very striking and that country regularly outperforms the UK on multiple levels. What is in fact being suggested is that the people of Scotland are particularly useless.......or as the man famously said: "We're all doooomed, I tell ye".
3T, perhaps you are correct, in which case Scotland surely has the right to choose its master.......including changing opinion whenever given the opportunity to do so, just like anyone else.

"3T, perhaps you are correct, in which case Scotland surely has the right to choose its master.......including changing opinion whenever given the opportunity to do so, just like anyone else. " - absolutely karl, but stop dressing it up as "independence" when it is "alternative dependence", and the SNP is anything but "Nationalist"
If a second referendum is held next year then, whatever the outcome, it's inevitable that Scotland will one day be independent of the UK. I'm not sure how many referendums it will take, but they'll keep having them until the vote goes that way. And once it does go that way, of course, the issue can never be debated again - especially as to let them back in would be a UK-wide vote.
So, maybe if the Scots choose to have another referendum next year, the "rump UK" should just eject them from the UK anyway as the very fact they wanted another referendum would show they were eventually going to leave, so why not just cut to the chase?

Never works that way TTT, just like if we had another EU referendum and it went to remain they would say that is it as they would have got the vote they wanted, that is why continual referendums are ridiculous.
I think we should definitely involve the whole UK, Our Nicola would have a resounding GO! in my opinion.
