Family planning clinics do already.
I don't think schools would be allowed to dispense contraceptive pills as they generally require a prescription.

The condoms though are a good idea in many ways, not least for keeping bananas and cucumber fresh for longer.
No. Not a school's responsibility, that's what Drs and family planning clinics are for. School teachers will be expected to supervise bath time and deliver babies soon!!! The
No! Teachers have enough to do without dispensing contraception.
My school certainly provided condoms to those who asked. This was in the 70s

Pupils, Allen.
come on happiness
time to do your own homework !

by the way what grades did we get for your work
earlier in the week
hc - yeah I did my fambly planning thingey in 1979
and had happiness' question
and we (20) all said Yes in about five seconds

and he moderator said - well ! how times change !
the first time we discussed this under MY moderation
( in about 1895 that is) we took the whole morning to discuss it !

and I as class captain said - our answer is still yes.

but that of course was pre Gullick
by about 20 y

we were called scholars ( lots of them in the 1891.1901 census but I post date that by a few years but in country areas old words persist)

then when I went to bigger skool some pance pointed out that scholars were those who got scholarships
and we all sort of went " whaaaaa? " and " we are scholards, arent we?"
and it led to a life time of confusion

( harks back to the time, teachey would ask the class/scholar a question and take great pleasure in saying "No that is quite wrong - where did you learn that / who told you that ? ")

with the internet you dont know you are alive Happiness !
No. Enabling sex amongst pupils is not part of the school's remit.
OG, if young adults are going to have sex (and many do) it is surely better to prevent STIs and pregnancies.
I think in many cases it would cause conflict between teachers and parents.
I'm sure it is hc, but that had nothing to do with schools.
I think the rates of teenage pregnancies in the UK have never been lower. Somebody is doing something right.
HAS !
Schools is the ideal place for young adults to get contraception and barriers to STI. Don't forget the leaving age is 18 and every school provides counselling services and health advice.
danny, that conflict was dealt with 20 years ago by the courts. The House of Lords said that in some circumstances a minor could consent to treatment without the knowledge and consent of the parent.
That doesn't guarantee that every parent will accept it.
